The client
Mary-Lucy Hospital & Fertility Centre is a Ghanaian hospital offering general and specialist care, including fertility treatment. Patients often research sensitive services online before they make contact.
The problem
Patients researching treatment, especially fertility care, want clear information and reassurance before they pick up the phone. The hospital offers a wide range of services, and it needed a website that presented them clearly, reassured prospective patients, introduced the medical team, and made booking an appointment easy.
Our approach
We organised the website around the questions patients ask: which services are offered, who will treat me, and how do I book. We designed a calm, professional visual style in line with the hospital's brand, and planned navigation so patients reach the right service page in a few taps.
How our approach solved it
Problem 1
A wide range of general and specialist services was hard for patients to navigate.
How we solved it
Structured pages for each department and specialist service, including fertility care, reachable in a few taps from the main navigation.
Problem 2
Patients researching sensitive treatment needed reassurance before making contact.
How we solved it
A calm, professional design in line with the hospital's brand, and health articles and information that answer patients' questions.
Problem 3
Patients wanted to know who would treat them.
How we solved it
Profiles introducing the hospital's doctors and nurses, building trust before a visit.
Problem 4
Booking depended on phoning the hospital.
How we solved it
An online appointment route, so patients can request an appointment straight from the service information.
Problem 5
Many patients browse on their phones.
How we solved it
A responsive design that works consistently on phones, tablets and desktops.
