Useful for business owners planning a new website, managers budgeting for a redesign and founders scoping a web app.
Limitations
- Ranges come from the prices we publish; features without a published price are marked "quoted separately" rather than guessed.
- An estimate is not a quotation: your quote depends on your final scope, content and integrations.
- Third-party costs such as payment-gateway transaction fees, premium plugins and email hosting are not included.
What decides the cost of a website
The biggest factor is what the site has to do. A five-page brochure site needs far fewer design and development hours than a store with hundreds of products or a portal with customer logins. Four things move the price most:
- Type and size: the number of pages and how much of the site is custom.
- Features and integrations: payments, bookings, customer accounts, search and links to other systems each add development and testing time.
- Design: a template customised to your brand is faster and more affordable; a design built from scratch costs more but fits your brand and customers exactly.
- Content: providing your own text and photos lowers the cost; professional copywriting and photography add to it.
Read your estimate
The estimate separates one-off costs (building the website) from running costs (domain, hosting, maintenance and SEO). Items marked quoted separately are part of your scope but are priced only after we understand your requirements, so the total shows “plus items quoted separately”.
When you compare quotes from different agencies, compare what each one includes, not just the total. Our website cost guide explains what each type of website includes.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a website cost in Ghana?
Based on the ranges we publish, a basic 3–5 page website typically costs GHS 2,500–5,000, a standard 6–15 page business website GHS 5,000–12,000, an eCommerce website GHS 8,000–25,000 or more, and custom web applications start around GHS 25,000. The calculator shows where your choices fall.
Is the estimate a quotation?
No. It is an indicative range from our published prices. A quotation follows a conversation about your goals, content and integrations, and lists exactly what is included.
Why are some features "quoted separately"?
We only show prices we publish. Features such as online booking, customer portals or system integrations vary too much to price without knowing your requirements, so we price them after we discuss them with you.
What running costs should I budget for?
Every website needs a domain name and hosting, renewed every year. Maintenance and ongoing SEO are optional monthly services. Tick them in the calculator to see the ranges.
How long does a website take to build?
A basic or standard business website usually takes a few weeks once your content is ready. eCommerce sites and custom applications take longer and are often delivered in phases.
